Fitzroy history – cycling is cool on Brunswick St

October 21, 2009 | Filed Under Public Domain |

I like this photo of the Eden Cycle and Motor Works on Brunswick Street next to the Post Office (which is roughly where Aboh shoes is now). Two chaps with their bicycles, another suffering from bicycle envy and a Policeman with what looks like an enormous moustache. In the background are three young lads no doubt waiting for a chance to steal the bicycles. Just another day in the life of Brunswick St. Courtesy of Fitzroy local history photograph collection / ID: 18040 / photographer: unk
