In the history of Doctor Who, there is one writer who seems to have disappeared into obscurity - despite writing two Tom Baker-era stories, little has been documented about him, nor has there been any critical discussion of his work.His name is David Agnew.Admittedly, he is a tough individual to track down - he is the BBC equivalent of Alan Smithee, a name that is used when a script editor (or as we Yanks say it, “show runner”) cannot/does not take credit for a script he/she has written. From the archives, a couple of candid shots of Rita Hayworth in July of 1951. I’m still waiting for Dante’s Inferno (1935) to be released on DVD. I saw it years ago on AMC, back before they degenerated into a poor man’s USA network (if it’s even possible for the USA network to have a poor man’s version). I recall liking it and have wanted to see it again for years. Rita has a small dancing part in it, billed as “Rita Cansino.”

A company has developed technology which generates the Semantic Web metadata representation of plain language descriptions. The software encourages users to develop and share linguistic information such as phrase structure and dictionary definitions for various languages and domains.
